The easiest way for both men and women to test for HPV is to check for small white warts.

Testing HPV for Men

There is no test that is currently used for testing in men the way most men find out they have HPV is when they see small white warts. These warts are usually treated or removed using painful acid treatment. In most cases the warts don’t return but depending on the victims immune system the HPV can stay in the body and return at a later time.

Testing HPV for Women

Women usually find out if they have HPV after getting a pap smear. Pap tests are usually done on a regular basis after a women reaches a certain age. Pap tests are important because they help screen for early signs of cancer.
